Kunstofftechnik in der Medizin

Medical technology

We develop and produce for leading companies that help improve the health and quality of life of sick people. White room production is crucial here, as the materials’ purity and hygiene are of the greatest importance for implants or blood transporting systems.

Fields of application

Our products are found e.g. in diagnostics, in blood treatment systems, in heart/lung machines, in dental surgeries or in orthopaedics.

Kunstoff Reinraumproduktion

Precision and hygiene are vital in medical technology. With our Class ISO 7 and ISO 8 white rooms and DIN ISO 13485 certification, we meet the relevant standards in this sector. "Good manufacturing practice" (GMP) is not just a slogan: it is at the heart of the Otto Klumpp corporate philosophy.

We use only medically approved materials. In addition to our expertise with the processing of all common plastic grades, we have particular experience in the processing of crystal clear PC and are an acknowledged specialist for the high-performance plastics PEEK, PPSU and PSU.

And guarantees our customers the cutting-edge technology they can expect from Otto Klumpp.

  • Injection moulding prototypes
  • Moulds
  • Part optimisation
  • Automation systems
  • Complete production lines
  • Special machines

We develop injection moulding prototypes, moulds, automation systems, complete production lines and special machines for our national and international customers. We are pleased to support you in the design, optimisation and production of your parts and plastic products.

  • Mold-Flow
  • Rapid-Prototyping
  • Proto-tooling
  • Short lead times
  • Cost-saving engineering

Our qualified staff members carry out complex calculations for you and design your plastic mouldings. We use techniques such as Mold-Flow, rapid prototyping and proto-tooling. For you this means: Short lead times, cost-saving production and compliance with the demanded injection moulding part quality.

Mould Manufacturing

  • Moulds 60 x 60 – 1000 x 1200 mm and 7 t
  • 5-axis simultaneous milling, HDC and HSC millers
  • CAD/CAM networking at all workstations
  • Utilisation of synergy effects between
    large and small moulds

Only when the moulds are of the highest quality can series production costs and downline costs be minimised. With our modern, highly efficient plant, we can produce top quality high-tech moulds.

  • More than 40 machines with mould clamping forces from 25 to 1600 t
  • Injection moulds 60 x 60 – 1800 x 2500 mm and 40 t
  • Part weights from 0.004 g – 9000 g
  • Interchangeable cylinder sets on all the machine groups with flexible use of the injection units
  • 2K and multi-K injection moulding
  • Central material supply

Otto Klumpp has a broad spectrum of different machines for the micro and macro ranges. A high degree of automation and complete recording and monitoring of all parameters ensure end-to-end quality management.
